What can I do if the Parental Control feature is not working?

The Parental Control feature allows you to prevent your children from accessing the Internet during restricted hours. If children’s mobile devices still have Internet access, please follow the actions below to troubleshoot:

  •  Disable MAC randomization: D-Link uses a consistent MAC address to identify client devices. However, iOS, Android, and Windows devices can use a different random MAC address to connect to your Wi-Fi network. This means any rules you set for children’s devices that are connected to the Wi-Fi network will not work if their MAC addresses change. To stop using a private or randomized MAC on kid’s iOS or Android devices, please refer to the FAQs below:

  •  Connect to an AQUILA PRO AI router only: Any rule you set for children’s devices only works when they are connected to your AQUILA PRO AI router or AQUILA PRO AI Mesh network. Make sure they don’t connect to non-mesh range extenders.
